Patterns
Cork fabric is made by taking thin layers of cork and adhering them to various backings, the most common being a cotton/polyester blend. The backing weight and type depends on the end use for the cork. For instance, on cork umbrellas the backing is a woven nylon blend to keep the integrity of the cork being water resistant. On cork upholstery the fabric is cotton and polyester to allow versatility in sewing to produce delicate or small accessories like handbags.
